Young athletes from Odesa are showcasing their skills at the «School Sports Achievements» competition.

The grand opening of the third stage of the «School Sports Achievements» took place at Odesa Lyceum No. 84.

This year, more than 260 teams are participating in various sports such as basketball, volleyball, futsal, orienteering, rugby, handball, cheerleading, athletics, and chess. 
Last year, the number of teams was 119, indicating a growing interest among Odesa's students. 

«Sports not only strengthen the body but also build character. Engaging students in sports is an investment in their future»,  - emphasized Odesa's mayor, Hennadii Trukhanov. 

The mayor also reminded that Odesa is one of the first cities to implement the «Path to Success» project aimed at training future Olympic champions from school benches. 

This event is part of the unified physical education lesson «Sports in Odesa's Education», organized by the Department of Education and Science of the Odesa City Council.
