Celebrating 20 Years of Climbing Excellence in Odesa

On March 30, 2025, Odesa celebrated the 20th anniversary of its specialized children's and youth sports school for climbing.

This is the first and only climbing school in Odesa and Ukraine. Over the past two decades, the dedication of coaches and athletes has led the school to achieve the highest category and become recognized as a specialized Olympic reserve sports school.

The school has trained around 1,000 athletes, among whom are multiple champions and prize-winners of world, European, and Ukrainian competitions. Over the years, the institution has produced three international class masters of sports in climbing and 21 masters of sports of Ukraine.

Attendees of the celebration included the Secretary of the Odesa City Council, representatives from the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, and various distinguished guests.

During the celebration, the school director, Liubov Zymova, received a Certificate of Appreciation from the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine.

Before the festivities began, participants and guests could explore displays that showcased the school's journey over the past 20 years.
