“Movement Without Barriers” in Odessa
Update on the progress of the 'Barrier-Free Movement' project in Odessa.
The event featured Deputy Head of the Drug Crime Unit of the National Police in the Odessa region, Dmitry Chekmarov.
Third-year law students had a unique opportunity to learn key aspects of drug crime prevention from a police specialist. He emphasized the importance of cooperation between investigators and operational units and shared his practical experience in combating drug-related crimes.
«Fighting drug crime is a complex process that requires coordinated efforts from all police units. It is essential not only to apprehend drug dealers but also to identify and dismantle drug labs, as well as track the entire supply chain of drugs to dependent individuals,» noted Dmitry Chekmarov.
During the session, students were introduced to the specifics of covert investigative measures, methods, and forms of operational search activities in this area.
The demonstration of photo and video materials from crime scenes related to drug trafficking generated significant interest among the students.
