From April 4 to 8, the Ukrainian Wushu Championship for adults and juniors (sanda light) took place in Brovary (Kyiv region).

About 200 athletes from 10 regions of Ukraine participated in the competitions.

The Odessa region was represented by students of the Complex Children and Youth Sports School No. 1.

As a result of the competitions, the champions of Ukraine were Marina Yazikova, Valeria Blagodyr, Irina Mizina, and Erika-Yuliana Chen.

Alexander Oliinyk took home the bronze medal, and Ivan Ahyeev won silver among senior juniors.

The Odessa team secured first place in the overall team standings.
