Hero's Return: Vitaliy Gyrenko Home Again

Vasyl Lomachenko, the former world champion, has announced his retirement from boxing.
He shared this news on his Facebook page.
In his statement, Lomachenko thanked God, his father, his team, and even the United States, but did not mention Ukraine or his fans.
Notably, he made this announcement to fans in Russian.
"Every boxer faces the day when they must hang up their gloves. That day has come for me," he stated.
Lomachenko's last fight was against George Kambosos, where he won the IBF title in lightweight. Since then, he has not stepped into the ring.
Reports in the media have indicated health issues, particularly a back injury.
Recently, there has been much speculation about his possible return to the ring, with several boxers, including Keyshawn Davis, Shakur Stevenson, and even Russian Abdullaev, expressing interest in fighting him.
Lomachenko has found himself in controversial situations before; most recently, he met with the UOC-MP metropolitan and invested in a Russian company, while also expressing dissatisfaction with the POCU metropolitan Epiphanius.
