Ukraine Triumphs Over New Zealand in Friendly Match

The Ukrainian national team played their second match in the friendly tournament Canadian Shield against the national team of New Zealand.

The game ended with a score of 2:1 in favor of Sergey Rebrov's team.

The first minutes of the match were quite calm. Rebrov's team struggled to overcome the opponent's pressing while maintaining ball possession.

A dangerous moment arose in the 16th minute when Pikhalyonok crossed the ball, Hutsulyak won the aerial challenge, but goalkeeper Max Krokomb prevented the goal.

Another chance came in the 32nd minute when Hutsulyak shot, but Krokomb denied him again. Kabaev was first to the rebound, but his shot went over the bar.

In the 54th minute, the "blue-yellows" opened the scoring. Zabarniy found Kabaev with a diagonal pass, who then set up Hutsulyak. Oleksiy quickly controlled the ball and struck accurately into the near corner.

Shortly after, the Oceania representative equalized. After a corner kick, Boxall won the battle and assisted Stamenich, who scored from close range.

In the 74th minute, Oleksandr Zinchenko entered the field. A minute later, the Arsenal player scored a goal, with Alexander Martynyuk, who was making his debut, providing the assist.

In the final minutes, Darren Beazley brought on New Zealand's star Chris Wood, but even the experienced forward couldn't rescue the team.
