An online program titled "Women in Cyber: Cybersecurity Skills" is launching in Ukraine, implemented by CDTO Campus, Diia.Business, and Diia.Education with the support of the German cybersecurity company Monarch and the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
This educational program aims to provide women with fundamental knowledge in cybersecurity and help them develop advanced cyber defense skills for professional application.
"The Women in Cyber program is an essential starting point for women looking to change their career paths, enhance their digital skills, or gain a deeper understanding of digital risks. During the course, under the mentorship of leading experts from the UK, participants will acquire knowledge and practical skills for a confident entry into one of the most crucial fields today. We are committed to systematically developing cybersecurity in Ukraine, addressing gender imbalance in technology, and creating real opportunities for learning and career growth," said Valeria Ionan, Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.
Women in Cyber is targeted at professionals wanting to transition into cybersecurity or gain new knowledge applicable to their current careers. All educational content will be available to those interested, without the need for prior experience in cybersecurity.
Throughout the course, students will familiarize themselves with key concepts and principles of cybersecurity, learn about the specifics of working in the field from experienced experts, and receive practical advice.
The educational program will consist of seven lectures covering basic and practical topics: fundamentals of cybersecurity; risks and compliance; threat intelligence and resilience during conflict; working with OSINT; the role of women and keys to cyber resilience; personal growth in the cyber sector. Additionally, organizers will address career-related questions and discuss opportunities in cybersecurity.
