Mini Basketball Festival in Odesa
The traditional mini basketball festival gathered young athletes in Odesa.
A vibrant football match unfolded at the "Chornomorets" stadium in Odesa, featuring the ambitious FSK "Palmyra" team against the Ukrainian veterans' team. The match concluded with a victory for the veterans in a penalty shootout, with a score of 3:2. The game was intense and competitive, showcasing a high level of skill from both amateur and veteran teams.
According to the UAF press service, FSK "Palmyra" – one of the strongest amateur teams in Odesa – faced off against the veterans in a gripping contest. Right from the start, the home team took the lead with a goal from Ruslan Khvan, giving "Palmyra" a psychological edge early in the match.
In the second half, Yuriy Maximov equalized for the veterans, and with the match ending in a 1:1 draw, a penalty shootout determined the winner, where the veterans proved more accurate, winning 3:2.
"The match was intense and competitive, concluding with a score of 3:2 in favor of the veterans in the penalty shootout," reported the UAF press service.
The veterans' team consisted of: Eduard Tsikhmeistruk, Volodymyr Yezerskyi, Yuriy Maximov, Kyrylo Kovalchuk, Oleg Shelayev, Ruslan Kostyshyn, Vitaliy Mandziuk, Oleksandr Kasyryn, Dmytro Bezruk, Vyacheslav Sviderskyi, Volodymyr Bondarenko, Mykola Ishchenko, Oleksandr Venglynskiy, and Vadym Milko. This lineup brought together experienced footballers with significant backgrounds in high-level competitions.
