Odesa Paddlers Secure Medals at Ukrainian Championship

Odesa athletes secured 6 medals at the Ukrainian paddling championship.

From July 16 to 20, the city of Uman hosted the individual Ukrainian championship in kayaking and canoeing, which served as a qualifier for the world championship.

Alina Yakobchuk, a student of the KDYUSSH No. 6, who continues to enhance her athletic skills at the Odesa Regional School of Higher Sports Mastery 'Olympian', earned 4 medals.

In the mixed quadruple events over 500 meters, she became the Ukrainian champion, while finishing third in the 1000 meters (C-1), 500 meters (C-2), and 200 meters (C-2) events.

Vadim Boychuk, a student of the Odesa Regional School of Higher Sports Mastery 'Olympian', won silver in the 1000 meters (K-2) and took bronze in the quadruple event over 200 meters.

The athletes were trained by coaches Oleg Zhylkin and Mykola Kravchuk.
