From August 21 to 23, 2025, Lviv hosted the Ukrainian Taekwondo (WTF) Championship for juniors and a tournament for sports schools.

More than 200 athletes participated from 19 regions of Ukraine, with approximately 600 competitors in total.

The athletes from Odesa, particularly from the Complex Children and Youth Sports School No. 17, achieved remarkable results:

Sports School Championship:

Danil Modnov – 1st place, 51 kg (juniors);

Kyril Pavlyuchenko – 3rd place, 68 kg (juniors);

Matviy Lukashuk – 3rd place, 73 kg (juniors);

Ulyana Protsenko – 2nd place, 55 kg (juniors);

Lina Yeremenko – 3rd place, 59 kg (juniors);

Denis Sevastyanov – 3rd place, 30 kg (youth).

Junior Championship:

Anastasia Volosenko - 1st place - 46 kg;

Danila Komarov - 1st place, 45 kg;

Matviy Lukashuk – 1st place, 68 kg;

Zlatoslava Volosenko - 2nd place, 49 kg;

Danil Modnov - 3rd place - 51 kg.

The athletes were prepared for the competitions by coaches Viktor Semanyuk and Yuliya Podolyans.

In the taekwondo (WTF) department of the Complex Children and Youth Sports School No. 17, there are 133 athletes training.
