Visit to the Wrestling Club in Odesa Region
Officials from the Ministry of Youth and Sports visit the Odesa Greco-Roman wrestling club as part of a new experimental project.
From August 17 to 23, 2025, a group of 20 students from Odesa Gymnasium No. 26, accompanied by five adults, traveled to Bavaria, Germany.
The main goal of the trip was to participate in the international Talent Academy camp, which brought together German, Polish, and Ukrainian youth.
Over ten days, the children immersed themselves in an atmosphere of creativity and collaboration, working in mixed groups, communicating, and overcoming language barriers.
Theatrical performances, musical acts, dancing, painting, quests, and games provided a platform for self-expression, cultural respect, and the generation of new ideas.
Cultural evenings highlighted the traditions of Ukraine, Poland, and Germany. The Ukrainian night united guests under its anthem and flag, the Polish night impressed with its hospitality, and the German night introduced new forms of teamwork through interactive games.
A memorable challenge was the hike in the Alps, where the children participated in a quest themed “Talent Academy,” searching for clues in three languages — Ukrainian, Polish, and German, exemplifying intercultural dialogue.
The visit to Lviv, Prague, and Ulm allowed participants to explore architecture, culture, and contemporary life in European cities, reminding them of Ukraine's organic connection to Europe. The excursion to BMW left unforgettable impressions of cutting-edge technology.
This project showcased the readiness of modern Ukrainian youth to become part of the global community. The students of Odesa Gymnasium No. 26 not only showcased their talents but also became true ambassadors of Ukraine.
The experience gained in Bavaria will serve as a foundation for future initiatives aimed at talent development and the integration of Ukrainian youth into the European educational landscape.
The event was supported by the public organization InKontakt in partnership with the Polish school Publiczna Szkoła Podstawowa im. Bolesława Krzywoustego w Wolinie.
