From August 28 to September 1, the sports complex «Yunist» in Uzhhorod hosted the National Sambo Championship for juniors, young boys and girls, as well as cadets.

The event attracted around 500 participants from 21 regions across the country.

In the team competition for cadets, the boys' team from Odesa region took first place, while the girls from Kyiv excelled.

The athletes from Odesa region, representing the Comprehensive Children and Youth Sports School No. 4, performed exceptionally well.

Kyril Vasylynich (79 kg) won a silver medal in the cadet competitions, and Dmytro Budish (88 kg) claimed bronze.

In the older boys' competitions, Arthur Amiryan (88 kg) celebrated victory, while Yegor Dubynenko (79 kg) and Ivan Maksuta (88 kg) won silver medals, and Kyril Vasylynich (79 kg) secured bronze.

In the junior competitions, Oleg Pryima (64 kg) took home a bronze medal.

The athletes were trained by coaches Oleg Spivak, Fedor Fomenkov, and Oleksandr Skypka.
