Inclusion Lessons in Odesa Schools

As part of the national initiative «Without Barriers», supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Office of the First Lady, inclusion lessons are being held in educational institutions in Odesa.

The inclusion lessons in the Peresyp district of the city aimed to instill a culture of respect, tolerance, and mutual assistance among children.

During the classes, students discussed the concept of inclusion, learned to understand the needs of people with disabilities, the elderly, parents with young children, and other social groups. The children engaged in interactive tasks, watched videos, participated in discussions, and role-playing games.

Teachers focused on developing empathy and practical skills for inclusive behavior, teaching children how to offer help correctly, avoid stereotypes, and make their environment friendlier and more accessible.

First-grade students received a notebook titled «Life Without Barriers».

Such initiatives help cultivate a generation that is capable of embracing diversity, valuing human dignity, and creating an atmosphere of respect and support. Students learn to notice and support one another, which will help them build a society of equal opportunities in the future.
