On October 20, the European Team Chess Championship concluded in Batumi (Georgia). Representing the national women's team of Ukraine was Odesa player Natalia Zhukova.

The women's team achieved 5 wins and 4 draws, allowing them to secure the second position, just behind the Polish team, which they notably defeated.

Natalia Zhukova also received an individual award for finishing second on the fourth board.
