From October 20 to 27, 2025, the Youth World Championship in Greco-Roman, women's, and freestyle wrestling for athletes under 23 years old took place in Novi Sad, Serbia. 

Among the members of the National Team of Ukraine, Odesa's Ruslan Abdiyev stood out, competing in the 82 kg weight class and earning a silver medal, showcasing remarkable skills, endurance, and sportsmanship.

Ruslan represents the 9th Sports Club of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, with coaches Viktor Klintzov and Yuriy Prokofiev preparing him for the competition.

As a result of the Greco-Roman wrestling tournament, the Ukrainian team secured the second overall place among 44 countries, winning two gold and two silver medals.
