From October 20 to 25, Odesa hosted a nationwide boxing tournament for young athletes in honor of the distinguished international-class sports master Semen Trestin.

More than a hundred young boxers from all over Ukraine participated in this event, which was revived after a six-year hiatus.

Arthur Prodan, a student of sports school No. 8, competed in the 70 kg weight category, winning all three of his matches, securing first place. This achievement qualifies him for the honorary title of «Master of Sports of Ukraine».

Ivan Karpov, another athlete from sports school No. 8, earned a bronze medal in the 60 kg category and achieved the standard for the title of candidate for master of sports of Ukraine.

The athletes were coached by trainers Volodymyr Osipchuk, Dmytro Boboshko, and Ihor Hordiienko.
