Odesa swimmer Nikita Sheremet set a new junior world record during the relay final of the 4x50m freestyle at the European Championships, clocking an impressive time of 20.84.

This achievement at the European Short Course Swimming Championships (25m) in Lublin continues Nikita's remarkable series of accomplishments throughout 2025.

In August, at the Junior World Swimming Championships in Otopeni, Romania, he won gold in the 50m freestyle with a time of 21.75 (50m pool), matching the junior world record held by American Michael Andrew and setting a competition and national record for Ukraine.

Nikita Sheremet is a graduate of the Odesa Specialized Children and Youth Sports School of Olympic Reserve “Dynamo” in swimming. He is coached by instructors Alla Tymofeeva and Oleksandra Kurbanova.
