Angelika Terlyuga Wins Bronze Medal at Karate World Championship

The Karate World Championship took place in Cairo, Egypt, from November 27 to 30, featuring 384 athletes (192 men and women each) from 88 countries.

Ukrainian karate legend Angelika Terlyuga achieved remarkable success by securing a bronze medal in the under 55 kg category.

After losing in the quarterfinals to Egyptian athlete Ahlam Youssef (3:8), Angelika had the opportunity to compete for bronze because her opponent advanced to the finals. She faced Valentina Toro Meneses from Chile (ranked No. 2 in the WKF world ranking) and won with a score of 6:4, showcasing her determination and skill.

This year, following the birth of her child, Angelika Terlyuga has already demonstrated her high level by winning a silver medal at the World Games in Chengdu, China.
