Ukrainian Karate Champions Shine at European Championships

The European Championship in Kyokushin Karate in the absolute weight category and the European Cup for adults, juniors, youths, and children concluded in Bucharest, Romania.

There were 878 competitors from 18 different countries participating in the events.

Among the Ukrainian national team, there were also athletes from Odesa.

Yegor Tepliy earned a silver medal in the under 75 kg category for athletes aged 14-15, while Yana Strozhenko secured a similar award in the under 30 kg category for girls aged 8-9.

Bronze medals were won by Sofia Vinnychenko (among 8-9-year-old girls, under 30 kg), Polina Klymenko (10-11 years, under 30 kg), and Maksym Papov (14-15 years, 60 kg category).

The athletes were trained by Sergey Papov, Vladislav Panchenko, and Pavlo Vinnychenko.
