Night Attack on Ukraine: New Casualties and Destruction

Last night, Ukraine was once again subjected to a brutal Russian assault – over 50 missiles and about 500 drones. They launched cruise missiles, «Shaheds», and «Kinzhal» missiles. The regions of Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Zaporizhzhia, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, Odesa, and Kirovohrad were targeted.

As of now, about 10 people are known to have been injured, and sadly, five have lost their lives. Our heartfelt condolences go out to all who have lost loved ones.

This information was shared by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, in his address.

He mentioned that rescue operations are ongoing in the affected areas. The President is receiving regular updates from Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko, Minister for Communities and Territories Development Oleksii Kuleba, and regional military administration leaders.

«I expect the government to take all necessary actions to mitigate the consequences of these attacks», — emphasized Zelensky.

The President stressed that Russian forces have once again targeted infrastructure that sustains people's lives.
«We need more protection and faster implementation of all defense agreements, especially regarding air defense, to eliminate the rationale behind this terror. A unilateral ceasefire in the sky is possible and could pave the way for genuine diplomacy. America and Europe must act to compel Putin to stop», — concluded Volodymyr Zelensky.
