The Mayor of Odesa, Hennadiy Trukhanov, met with German politician Ralph Fuchs, the head of the Center for Liberal Modernity, and Marieluise Beck, the director for Eastern and Central Europe.
During the meeting, they discussed the current security and humanitarian situation in Odesa, the challenges faced by internally displaced persons, as well as partnerships with foreign and international allies.
They also addressed energy issues and preparations for the upcoming heating season.
In collaboration with the Center for Liberal Modernity and the German agency GIZ, a project to enhance the "Against Oblivion" park is underway in Odesa. Due to the full-scale invasion, the project has been temporarily halted, and funds provided by German partners have been redirected to meet civil needs, including generators, diesel fuel, and other essential supplies.
The agency has also delivered humanitarian aid to Odesa, including two Mercedes-Benz ambulances, ten Mitsubishi L200 pickups, five Ford Transit vans, and various other vehicles and rescue kits.
Odesa expresses its gratitude to the German partners for their ongoing support and assistance.
