Collaboration Between Odesa and Moldovan Communities

The Mayor of Odesa, Hennadiy Trukhanov, met with leaders of the Moldovan communities of Leova, Tudora, and Stefan-Voda — Oleksandr Buzhoryan, Veronika Mokan, and Vladyslav Kochu respectively.
The meeting took place within the framework of inter-municipal cooperation and a Memorandum signed during a roundtable dedicated to developing partnerships between Ukraine and Moldova.
Participants discussed the unique aspects of community development and their common interests, particularly the 20,000-strong Moldovan community residing in Odesa Oblast.
Ms. Mokan emphasized that the border village of Tudora has accepted twice as many Ukrainian refugees as its population since the onset of the full-scale war, and continues to provide support.
Mayor Vladyslav Kochu from Stefan-Voda has personally collected humanitarian aid and delivered it to Ukraine while maintaining constant communication with Ukrainian communities.
The parties also addressed shared challenges on the path to European integration, with Mayor Oleksandr Buzhoryan discussing the specifics of the administrative-territorial reform in Moldova.
Furthermore, issues related to energy sustainability, transport corridor development, infrastructure modernization, and security were raised. The focus was on finding solutions based on trust, solidarity, and shared European values.
