Restoration of Residential Building in Odesa After Attacks

On Akademika Zabolotnoho Street, 54 in Odesa, restoration works are underway for a residential building that sustained damage due to aggression from Russia on January 1, 2024. The attack damaged the roof and utilities.

The destroyed sections of the roof were quickly dismantled, and efforts were made to mitigate the effects of the attack. The managing company responsible for the building installed a temporary protective covering on the damaged roof, allowing for the restoration of heating in the building.

Following all necessary project-permission procedures, the Department of Municipal Economy announced the auction winner. The winner is LLC “Pilon West”. The estimated cost of the work is 4.1 million hryvnias.

«The project includes restoration work on technical premises, the attic, machinery room, ventilation ducts, as well as the roof of this building», - emphasized Artem Zakharov, Deputy Director of the Department of Municipal Economy.

Currently, specialists have almost completely restored the elevator room and reinforced the metal frameworks. Roofing work is still ongoing.

The restoration of the residential building on Akademika Zabolotnoho Street is expected to be completed by the end of 2024.
