Massive Tree Planting Initiative in Odessa

A substantial community service event took place in Odessa.

In Preobrazhensky Park, 100 new trees were planted. Overall, nearly 200 trees, including acacias, Japanese sophoras, maple trees, and ashes, were introduced in various locations throughout the city.

Along Uspenska Street and on French Boulevard, 33 Japanese sophoras and 32 acacia trees were planted in areas where stumps had been removed.

«Last year, we acquired stump removal equipment for the Municipal Green Trust. What used to take a full day can now be done in just half an hour. We are planting new trees in the cleared spaces. Thanks to everyone who participated,» stated Odessa's mayor, Hennadiy Trukhanov.

Additionally, residents together with city workers planted trees on Mykolaiv Road and cleaned the slopes along the Health Trail.
