On April 4, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decided to expand the functions of the Ministry of Digital Transformation in the fields of digital innovation, robotics, and artificial intelligence.

This was announced by the government representative in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk.

According to the new changes, the Ministry will:

support the development of robotics, semiconductor technologies, and domestic production of innovative defense solutions;

define key development areas and provide legal regulation;

organize funding for companies engaged in the development of new technologies;

coordinate testing and research of new samples;

create infrastructure for testing and demonstrating robotics;

promote the development of artificial intelligence in Ukraine.

It is also worth noting that the Cabinet transferred gambling regulation functions to the Ministry of Digital Transformation.
