Cases of fraud disguised as official Ukrposhta messages have surged in Ukraine.
This is reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
Fraudsters posing as Ukrposhta
Users receive suspicious messages regarding parcels, asking them to confirm their delivery address via a provided link.
If you happen to receive such a notification, it's best not to click on any links.
"Under no circumstances should you follow such links or enter your data, as fraudsters could gain access to your personal information," warns Ukrposhta.
How to identify fraudsters: tips from Ukrposhta
The company emphasizes that they never send messages from unknown numbers.
Be cautious, as any extra punctuation marks may indicate fraud.
"Any additional dashes, commas, periods, or extra letters suggest fraud. Furthermore, we do not communicate from unknown numbers. Do not enter banking details or share anything with strangers," the statement reads.
