Odessa Under Attack: Casualties and Aftermath
An attack in Odessa resulted in one casualty and a fire in a residential building.
A new safety center has been inaugurated in the Odesa region with the support of the European Investment Bank.
The newly constructed facility in Avanhard will enable more effective emergency response for over 36,000 local residents and neighboring communities.
This building, designed to meet wartime conditions, features modern training complexes, shelters for staff and the public during air alerts, and serves as a point for providing humanitarian assistance to internally displaced persons.
This project is part of the "Emergency Credit Program for Ukraine's Recovery" — a joint initiative by the EU and the European Investment Bank.
The program is being implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Restoration, the Ministry of Finance, the Odesa Regional State Administration, and the Avanhard Village Council, with technical support from UNDP Ukraine.
In Odesa region, within the framework of EIB projects, 28 projects worth a total of €48.7 million have been completed or are currently underway, aimed at improving the quality of life for residents and IDPs.
