Last night in Odesa, on Troitska Street, a fire occurred on the second floor of a three-story residential building. The blaze ignited on the balcony and in the apartment.

The fire was quickly extinguished by firefighters.

During the firefighting efforts, the apartment owner (a man born in 1992) was rescued after injuring himself while trying to escape. Rescuers provided assistance until medical teams arrived.

The likely cause of the fire was «carelessness while smoking».

A total of 8 units of equipment and 31 firefighters were involved in the response.
