Competition for Lesya Ukrainka Monument in Odesa
The results of the competition for the best project proposal for the Lesya Ukrainka monument in Odesa have been announced.
The city of Odesa has received 7 new cogeneration units with a total capacity of 2.2 MW as part of the project «Strengthening Urban Resilience in Ukraine» (SUR).
This project is part of German transitional aid, commissioned by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany (BMZ) and executed by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).
Currently, the first two units have been installed, which will provide stable heating for approximately 23,000 consumers, including residential buildings, schools, and healthcare facilities.
«These units generate both heat and electricity, allowing heating plants to operate even during a total power outage. We are preparing for winter now to ensure our people have warmth under any circumstances. I sincerely thank our partners», said Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov.
The installation of cogeneration units is ongoing.
