An elderly woman was rescued during a fire in Odessa, and five residents were evacuated.

Today in Odessa, on Mechnikov Street, the roof of a two-story residential building caught fire.

While extinguishing the flames, firefighters carried an elderly woman out of a smoke-filled apartment and handed her over to medical personnel.

Additionally, the rescuers assisted five other residents in leaving the building.

The fire was quickly extinguished, preventing its spread to the entire structure.

A total of 10 fire units and 44 firefighters from the State Emergency Service were involved in the operation.
