Free HIV Testing in Odesa: Support During Wartime

Despite the ongoing war, Odesa continues to provide free HIV testing for residents and visitors.

HIV testing is offered at no cost in all city hospitals, primary healthcare centers, diagnostic facilities, and maternity wards.

Anyone can learn their HIV status in just 15 minutes from a family doctor or in a hospital setting. Rapid HIV tests are funded by the City Health Program.

In the first nine months of 2025, 29,240 individuals underwent testing, with 268 receiving positive results.

Patients with positive test results are referred to the City Center for HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control for further examination and to receive free antiretroviral therapy, enabling them to live fulfilling lives.

The organization of HIV testing in Odesa has received high praise from both national and international experts.
