In 2025, the tax on electronic services, paid by international companies, generated approximately 7 billion Hryvnias in the first five months of the year.

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Danilo Hetmantsev, noted in his Telegram channel that the volume of taxed electronic services increased by 29.5% compared to the same period last year. This is also 1.8 billion more than in 2023.

The number of companies paying this tax rose to 136. For January to May 2025, revenues amounted to about 7 billion Hryvnias, or 76.1 million Euros / 85.2 million USD.

Among the largest taxpayers are Google, Apple, Meta, Valve, Sony, Netflix, Spotify, Adobe, Etsy, Epic, Upwork, and Wargaming Group. Hetmantsev also highlighted that Bolt and Uklon paid 4.4 million Euros, while OnlyFans paid 0.8 million USD.

It is worth reminding that the electronic services tax is a VAT of 20%, which came into effect on January 1, 2022. It is paid by foreign companies that are not registered in Ukraine based on income from the sale of various electronic services.

Previously, Ruslan Kravchenko, the head of the State Tax Service of Ukraine, reported that in the first quarter of 2025, this tax brought in 3.5 billion Hryvnias.
