New Opportunities for Ukraine's Recovery

An expert group, in collaboration with the European Investment Bank, has announced the funding of nine projects totaling 1.1 billion UAH as part of the Ukraine Recovery Program III. This was reported by the Ministry of Community and Territory Development.
"Following the first meeting of the expert working group, some projects were excluded, while nine projects with a funding volume of 1.1 billion UAH were recommended for implementation," the statement said.
Recommended for implementation are four applications under the "Barrier-Free Movement" initiative in the Volyn and Ivano-Frankivsk regions, as well as five applications for the construction of kitchen factories for schools in the Vinnytsia, Zaporizhia, Kyiv, Lviv, and Sumy regions.
These kitchen factories will provide over 50,000 standardized meal portions for children daily. Pilot projects are already underway in Bucha and Lozova (Kharkiv region) and are part of the school nutrition reform initiated by the First Lady.
The ministry noted that from September 11 to 30, communities had the opportunity to submit proposals for project funding aimed at recovery and development, resulting in 677 applications totaling 24.2 billion UAH.
About one-third of the applications, amounting to 8.6 billion UAH, concern heating, water supply, wastewater management, and distributed generation networks.
More than 120 applications are related to the construction of medical facilities (6.8 billion UAH) and nearly 140 for the establishment of shelters in communities, kindergartens, and hospitals (4.4 billion UAH).
Nearly 130 projects are aimed at completing the construction of schools and kindergartens (2.3 billion UAH), creating kitchen factories for school nutrition (1 billion UAH), building housing for IDPs (0.15 billion UAH), as well as 44 projects concerning accessibility (0.85 billion UAH).
