On the evening of February 11, a tragic car accident occurred in Odesa where a 29-year-old driver of a «Toyota» lost control and crashed into a utility pole, leading to the death of a 31-year-old passenger. The driver was hospitalized with injuries.

Dmytro Slyuta, head of the transport crime investigation department in Odesa, stated that preliminary findings indicate the driver failed to maintain control of the vehicle. Unfortunately, the passenger succumbed to fatal injuries. The driver was sober, as confirmed by tests in the hospital.

Investigators have filed reports in the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations under Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The case involves violations of traffic safety rules that resulted in the death of an individual. Various forensic examinations have been ordered as the investigation continues to uncover all circumstances surrounding the incident.
