Cultural Festival in Odesa: Celebrating Heritage and Community
Odesa hosted a cultural festival celebrating local artisans and Ukrainian heritage.
In the Podilskyi district, two men were found to be unlawfully storing dangerous grenades at their homes. They could face up to seven years in prison for this crime.
Police received information indicating that two residents, aged 32 and 49, were illegally possessing military supplies. Based on a court order, law enforcement conducted searches at their residences, uncovering items resembling grenades. Preliminary assessments by explosives experts confirmed that these are hand fragmentation grenades classified as military supplies. The police have sent them for expert examination.
“We have formally charged the suspects under part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which pertains to the illegal acquisition and possession of military supplies. According to current legislation, the offenders face up to seven years of imprisonment. The investigation is ongoing under the procedural guidance of the Odesa Specialized Prosecutor's Office for Defense and the Podilskyi District Prosecutor's Office, where we will establish the origin of the munitions and other circumstances of the crime,” stated Oleksandr Zhukovskyi, head of the Podilskyi District Police Department.
