Today, April 8, around 9:00 AM, a deadly traffic accident occurred on the Odessa-Reni highway near the village of Sarata in the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district. This has been reported by the press service of the Odesa regional police. Preliminary information indicates that a 47-year-old woman from the Plakhtiyivka community, driving a Chevrolet sedan towards Sarata, crossed into the opposite lane, colliding with a Mercedes truck with a semi-trailer heading towards Odessa. The female driver was hospitalized but died from her injuries at the hospital. The driver of the truck, a 51-year-old resident of the Podilskyi district, will be tested for intoxication. Investigative teams and patrol police are working at the scene. After establishing the circumstances, a legal qualification will be provided.
