Structural units of the Odesa City Council, organizations dedicated to combating domestic violence, and local residents participated in the event.
«Violence is a global issue that affects everyone. It's crucial to speak out and take action against this shameful phenomenon to prevent future incidents and mitigate their effects,» said Elena Kytainska, head of the Department of Labor and Social Policy.
During the event, social and psychological support teams provided consultations and distributed informational materials to those affected by domestic and gender-based violence.
Additionally, flowers were given to women and girls as a symbol of resistance against violence.
The goal of the nationwide campaign «16 Days Against Violence» is to draw public attention to the pressing issues of domestic violence and gender-based violence, ensuring equal rights and opportunities for all.
