UN Delegation Visits Odesa: Exploring Development Opportunities

A delegation from the United Nations, including representatives from the UN Development Programme, UN Office for Project Services, and UN Population Fund, is visiting Odesa.

This visit, featuring five UN ambassadors and other esteemed guests, has been organized by UNDP in Ukraine to enhance collaboration with UNOPS and UNFPA.

During their working visit, the delegation toured projects supported by the UN.

The mayor expressed gratitude for the assistance provided to Odesa, particularly for the involvement in the renovation of one of the departments at Hospital No. 8.

Gennadiy Trukhanov noted that the facility is a standard hospital and does not provide emergency services. However, many lives have been saved here, especially those injured in hostile attacks needing urgent medical attention, which was delivered by highly qualified staff using modern equipment.

The participants also discussed future cooperation, including attracting international investments for infrastructure projects such as upgrading sewage systems and building housing for internally displaced persons.
