Stroke Prevention Day in Odesa

On the occasion of World Stroke Day, celebrated on October 29, a Stroke Prevention Day was organized in Odesa. This initiative was supported by the Department of Health of the Odesa City Council and the local health center.

On this day, anyone interested could receive free medical examinations, including measuring blood pressure, pulse, checking blood glucose levels, undergoing an ECG, and obtaining referrals for laboratory tests and specialist consultations. Doctors provided patients with recommendations on stroke prevention.

As a result of the event, a total of 1735 individuals underwent preventive examinations. This led to the discovery of 294 cases of elevated blood pressure and 102 cases of high blood glucose levels. A total of 867 ECGs were performed, with 136 patients referred to a cardiologist. Laboratory tests were recommended for 895 patients.
