Future of Policing: Engaging Prospective Students in Odesa and Izmail
Events in Odesa and Izmail where the police introduce youth to career opportunities and the profession.
Odessa is hosting Japanese Culture Days in honor of the 60th anniversary of its partnership with Yokohama, Japan.
As part of the cultural days, various artistic and educational activities titled «Japan – the Land of the Rising Sun» will take place. Participants will engage in interactive sessions, art lessons, workshops, and tea ceremonies, allowing them to explore Japanese traditions and culture.
The main events will kick off on April 29 at the Central City Library named after I.Ya. Franko (Book Lane, 1a).
Attendees will have the opportunity to appreciate the richness of Japanese culture and the enduring friendship between our cities and nations.
«Our relationship with Yokohama is a story of how cities can connect deeply despite language barriers and cultural differences,» said Odessa's mayor, Gennadiy Trukhanov.
Additionally, from April 28 to May 2, 2025, an exhibition titled «Mysterious Japan Through the Eyes of Ukrainian Artists» will be held in the lobby of the Odessa City Hall (Birzhova Square, 1).
This event is organized with the support of the Fine Arts Department of the South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushynsky and the Municipal Art Gallery.
