A Day of Joy: Odessa Police Host Fun Event for Kids at the Zoo

On the eve of Ukraine's Independence Day, juvenile police in Odessa arranged an engaging event for the youth. This initiative was aimed at teenagers under preventive supervision and children from challenging family situations. The event took place at the Odessa Zoo, where young visitors enjoyed interacting with animals.

The children observed playful monkeys, majestic bears, gentle elephants, and proud camels. They learned about the animals' habits and daily routines. The event also featured face painting, archery sessions for the kids, and delicious treats.

Firefighters from the State Emergency Service joined the event, showcasing fire extinguishing techniques and safe use of fire extinguishers. Juvenile police distributed reflective items and materials on road safety, emphasizing safe behavior at home and outdoors.

“We aim to bring joy to children while reminding them about the importance of mutual respect and safety. Every child deserves a happy childhood,” stated Yuriy Lukyanchuk, acting head of the juvenile prevention sector.
