New Medical Services for Veterans in Odesa

The Odesa Primary Health Care Center No. 3 has initiated a new project that provides a wide range of medical services for war veterans, aimed at improving their physical and mental health.

This project, implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Veterans Affairs, offers veterans free primary health care services that include treatment and support.

The focus is on issues related to the consequences of combat, providing psychological support, and social assistance.

Participants in the project include combat veterans who have retired from military service and individuals with disabilities due to the war.

What services are available to veterans under this project?

1. Individual treatment plans including examinations and preventive health checks tailored to health status and chronic conditions.

2. Screening for conditions related to combat effects, such as PTSD and chronic pain.

3. Extended psychological assistance and psychotherapy.

4. Referrals for consultations with psychiatrists or psychologists for group or individual therapy.

5. Accompaniment for chronic condition treatment, including orthopedic and neurological consultations.

6. Diagnosis of vision and hearing impairments with follow-up treatment.

7. Development of an individual rehabilitation plan with a physical medicine doctor.

8. Prescription of medications for chronic pain management.

9. Monitoring and support for combating addictions.

10. Social consultations for access to services and veterans' rights.

To avail themselves of these services, veterans must have a declaration with a family doctor from the Center and provide documents confirming their status.
