Once again, the initiative «Donor Odesa» welcomed the participation of the Southern Regional Department of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

Approximately twenty border guards took part in the collective donation, most of whom are regular blood donors. The military understands how crucial it is to have a blood reserve during wartime, which can save the lives of their comrades and civilians in need of urgent assistance.

«For us, defending Ukraine is not just about combat duties and daily service at the border. It's also about being ready to lend a helping hand to those fighting for their lives in hospitals,» the border guards say.

Each blood donation can save up to three lives. Donating blood not only offers a chance for someone else's survival but also benefits the health of the donor if there are no contraindications.

The «Donor Odesa» project has been actively engaging blood donors for the needs of civilian and military medical institutions since the onset of the full-scale war, providing over 14,000 blood donations.

Today, it is crucial for every Ukrainian who is eligible to donate blood to participate.
