Odesa Swimmers Shine at International Games
Odesa athletes achieve remarkable success at the International Children's Games in Estonia, earning medals and setting records.
Odessa has hosted the II stage of competitions as part of the project «Together in Sports: National School Leagues» for students of general education institutions in the 2024/2025 academic year.
School teams competed in volleyball and rugby-5.
As a result of the volleyball matches among girls in grades 5-9, teams from Odessa Lyceums No. 7, 56, 86, and Gymnasium No. 25 advanced to the city III stage. Among girls in grades 9-11, teams from Odessa Lyceums No. 13, 51, 62, and the Specialized School No. 32 also qualified.
The winners of the II stage in volleyball for boys in grades 5-9 were the teams from Odessa Lyceums No. 5, 89, and Gymnasium No. 77, while among boys in grades 9-11, the teams from Lyceums No. 24, 84, «Langeron», and Specialized School No. 32 triumphed.
The rugby-5 competitions took place for the first time in the sports halls of the city. This exciting game promotes speed, coordination, team spirit, and strategic thinking, allowing teams to create original tactical situations that require good communication and interaction among players.
The victors of the II stage in rugby-5 were the teams from Odessa Lyceums No. 28, 40, and 69.
All participants demonstrated a high level of preparation, skill, and unwavering determination to win. New challenges lie ahead, and teams are diligently preparing for the next competitions.

The project «Together in Sports: National School Leagues» represents the largest student competitions in the country for the 2024/2025 academic year, held under the slogan «Together We Will Win». The goal is to increase the number of students engaging in sports regularly and leading a healthy lifestyle.
