Bristol Councilor's Visit to Odessa
Councilor Paul Hoggin from Bristol visited Odessa for the City Day celebrations and discussions on cooperation.
On December 22, an athletics event took place in Odessa - the first stage of the Winter Cup SEASIDE RUNNERS.
A total of 152 participants of various age groups joined the races.
Among the youngest competitors (under 6 years) in the 60-meter race, Regina Kalchenko and Lev Kalchenko celebrated victory, while silver medals went to Nika Polishina and Valera Isayev, and bronze was awarded to Olivia Lutskovich and David Horishok.
In the age group of 7-13 years, among girls on the 1 km distance, Valeria Tsybulishchenko took first place, with Polina Tsybulishchenko as the silver medalist and Victoria Vasyuk finishing third. For boys in the same distance, the winner was Klimentiy Gerasymchuk, second place went to Andriy Zasnov, and third place was claimed by Andriy Kyryakov.
In the 5 km race, Olga Moroz and Yevgeniy Yasin's victories were noted, with silver medalists being Yelizaveta Sheremeta and Denis Polyakov, and the bronze medals were awarded to Anya Novikova and Maxim Petrov.
The 10 km distance was quickly covered by Sofia Harmash and Sergey Saltevsky, with Anna Osiymukha and Yevgen Vavilov finishing second, and Elena Titova and Dmitry Bolotny taking third.
On the longest distance of 25 km, the winners were Karine Grigoryan and Maxim Kyryakov, followed by silver medalists Yulia Kirychan and Viktor Lazanyuk, and bronze went to Oksana Postolenko and Artur Zherebtsov.
In addition to the races, a festive program was organized for children.

The Winter Cup is a series of races designed to test physical fitness. Winners will be determined based on individual stages as well as the overall results of all stages. The event is organized by the public organization SEASIDE RUNNERS with the support of the Odessa City Council.
