Agricultural Harvest Progress: 2025 Update
As of July 25, 2025, Ukrainian farmers have harvested over 10 million tons of the new crop.
Odessa athlete Alina Komashchuk has clinched a bronze medal at the World Fencing Championship taking place in Tbilisi (Georgia).
The 32-year-old from the Odessa regional school of higher sports mastery «Olympian» began her journey to the podium from the 1/32 finals, where she triumphed over German fencer Elisabeth Gette (15:7). In the 1/16 finals, she was defeated by Chinese fencer Fu Yin (15:6), but in the 1/8 finals, Alina achieved a remarkable victory against reigning world champion Misaki Emura from Japan (15:12). In the quarterfinals, she won against French fencer Sarah Balthazar (15:7), but fell short in the semifinals against Polish representative Zuzanna Czeslar (12:15).
This medal marks Alina's first individual award at world championships.
