Young athletes from Odesa have made significant strides at international figure skating competitions!

The dance duo Tetiana Bielodanova and Ivan Kachur, students of the Odesa School of Figure Skating 'Kryzhynka', proudly represented Odesa at the first stage of the Junior Grand Prix held in Riga (Latvia).

Under the guidance of coach Alona Kalamurza, the skaters executed their program brilliantly. Elements such as twizzles, lifts, and spins were rated by judges at the 4th level of difficulty. The duo's vibrant performance and charisma captivated both judges and spectators.

In the free dance, Tetiana and Ivan scored 75.48 points, securing 6th place.

Overall, they achieved 8th place with a total score of 126.51 points based on two performances.

This was a debut at the Junior Grand Prix for 14-year-old Tetiana and 18-year-old Ivan, and it yielded an impressive outcome!

On August 27-30, the duo will represent Ukraine at the second stage of the competitions in Turkey's capital, Ankara.
