Ukraine's Air Defense: Successful Neutralization of Enemy Drones
Effective air defense operations in Ukraine: neutralizing enemy drones in Odesa.
Students of Lyceum No. 56 in Odesa had the opportunity to connect online with scientists from the Ukrainian Antarctic station «Akademik Vernadsky». This meeting allowed children to delve into the world of science and learn about life on the frozen continent. This was reported by Odesa Lyceum No. 56.
At Lyceum No. 56, a significant event took place — students joined a Zoom meeting with participants of the 30th Ukrainian Antarctic expedition. Connecting directly with Odesa were biologist Yelyzaveta Safonova, a native of our city, and her colleague biologist Taras Peretyatko.
The polar researchers shared insights about the unique flora and fauna of the Argentine Islands, discussed scientific research conducted in Antarctica, and emphasized the importance of climate change issues for this region.
The students were particularly intrigued by the discussion about the daily lives of polar scientists.
They learned how researchers live at the station, the challenges they face every day, and the discoveries they make during expeditions.
The meeting concluded with an active «question-answer» session. The students received heartfelt responses to their queries and felt pride in the Ukrainian scientists who represent the country in one of the most remote corners of the planet.
