Ukrainian Judokas Shine at International Tournament

On October 4-5, the traditional international judo tournament - the European Cup of Hopes took place in Brno, Czech Republic, featuring competitors under the ages of 13 and 15.

The Ukrainian national team achieved remarkable success, finishing in first place with 26 medals, including 6 gold.

Among the participants, athletes from Odesa made impressive contributions. For instance, Ivan Arsenyuk, a student from the Odesa regional children's and youth sports school for judo and rugby (coach - Vladislav Bolichevsky), earned a silver medal in the 38 kg category, while Oleksandr Severhin from the Comprehensive Children's and Youth Sports School No. 4 in Odesa (coach - Oleg Spivak) took home a bronze in the 73 kg category.

In Odesa's specialized extracurricular educational institutions, there are 144 children engaged in judo.
