Repatriation of Soldiers' Bodies to Ukraine

Ukraine has completed the return of 1000 bodies, which are claimed by the Russian side to belong to Ukrainian servicemen.

This was reported by the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War via Telegram.

In the near future, law enforcement officials together with MIA experts will conduct necessary examinations and identify the repatriated bodies.

The repatriation process was made possible through the joint efforts of the Coordination Headquarters, the Joint Center of the Security Service of Ukraine, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Office of the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada for Human Rights, and other security and defense structures.

The Coordination Headquarters expressed gratitude to the International Committee of the Red Cross for their assistance.

Special thanks were given to the personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who are responsible for transporting the repatriated fallen heroes to designated state specialized institutions and organizing the transfer of the deceased to law enforcement representatives.

Investigators will promptly establish the identities of the deceased.
